Understanding Double block and bleed valves | Gosco Valves

Are you looking for the double block and bleed valves? If yes, then you must be aware of the critical factors before choosing it. But before that we will look at its functions and why is it important.

What are the types of Valve?

Needle

Ball

 Gate

Gauge Cock

Double block and bleed

What is double block and bleed valves?
Usually, considered as a secondary valve for intervention and is further considered necessary to remove essential equipment from service. When it comes to the nature, it’s of the fluid, pressure, and temperature are regulated that are fused to relief system or safe disposal

It is similar to having three valves in one offering a seal against stress on the two ends of the curve, from the closed position. Just like a J-Flow Controls, you are likely to find two distinct valves which have a drain or bleed valve. While the arrangement is known as dual isolation and bleeds (DIB), the DIB may separate either side of the valve, also known as, (bi-directionally) double block and bleed valves to port or even bleed the void and separate piping.

Application of double block and bleed valves:
Basically, it ensures the upstream Valve while permiting the safe withdrawal of moderate leakage. Further it assures the tight shutoff of the downstream valve. It also makes it possible to use a single block valve with a body bleed. The best ability is on-stream isolation of equipment.
